The state competition consisted of more than 60 teams from all across Northern California.

The REG team also captured two Nor Cal State Team spots at the championships. The Nor Cal Level 6 State team consists of the six girls who scored the highest throughout all six sessions (in all age groups) during the entire weekend competition of more than 300 athletes.

The two gymnasts from REG who received this honor were Kira Lim and L.J. Webb. Both scored a tremendous 37.50 out of 40 in the All Around.

Additional success came from REG gymnast Camille Mantoani, who was awarded the Yvonne Benny Award. This is a judges' award given to only one level 6 gymnast at the entire State Championship meet who demonstrates both artistic beauty and panache on the balance beam event. The award was created in 1994 to honor a Northern California judge who died of cancer.

Benny loved more than anything to judge beam because of its artistic beauty.

Within the age group competitions at Level 6 State, REG had many successes among its gymnasts.

In the Junior I age group, Reily Cannon was first all around and also first on the beam with a 9.225.

In the Junior F age group, Webb placed first in all events: vault (9.10), bars (9.45), beam (9.65), and floor (9.30), as well as taking first in the all around competition.

In Junior D, Violet Deardorff was fifth on bars with an 8.85, while in the Junior F, Jenna Mankowski was seventh on beam with a 9.0 and Elena Lents was third on Bars with a 9.05.

In Junior C, Savannah Engler placed third on bars with a 9.125.

In the Child J competition, Kristianna Coffey was the uneven bars champion with a 9.55.

In Child E, Camille Mantoani was first on floor with a 9.425 and also received a personal best on the balance beam with a 9.725.

In Child G, state team member Kira Lim was first on the balance beam with a score of 9.70.

In the child H division, Kaylie Barerra was fourth on the beam with a 9.0.

In Child C, Athena Koehler placed third on the floor exercise with a score of a 9.10.

The coaches of the Level 6 team, Greta Leach and Marc Courtney, said the third-place team result was the result of hard work, dedication and team unity.
