Police seek public's help identifying Petaluma shoplifting suspect

An apparent Giants fan was caught on tape Tuesday at the Kmart store in Petaluma, where security personnel believe he walked off with about $300 in merchandise, leaving the packaging behind, police said.

SURVEILLANCE VIDEOAuthorities hope someone recognizes the young man, believed to be in his early 20s or late teens.
He was wearing a San Francisco Giants lanyard around his neck while in the North McDowell Boulevard store, authorities said.
Among the items stolen were an Internet router, cables, batteries and a laser pointer. The suspect apparently hid them in his clothes, police said.
Anyone recognizes the individual in the surveillance photo is asked to call police at (707) 778-4372.
