The Sonoma County Sheriff’s Department responded to the following calls in the south county during the last week.

Friday, January 11

1:40 p.m. — Deputies responded to a report of a deceased body in a dumpster at a recycling plant on Petaluma Boulevard South. The body was later identified as Luis Gomez-Diaz, 30, of Sonoma County. The investigation into the circumstances surrounding his death is ongoing.
