The 32nd annual Butter & Egg Days Parade will honor Petaluma's businesses, characters and folklore legends for their contributions to Petaluma's vitality and fame with the theme “Legends of Petaluma — Past & Present” when it marches through downtown at noon on April 27. Parade entrants are asked to incorporate their idea of who or what represents a Petaluma legend into their entry or float design.
The early bird deadline for parade entries (at the lowest fee) is 5 p.m. March 1. All entries will be reviewed for entertainment value, variety of entrants and creativity. The first 100 entrants will be accepted.
The regular deadline for entries is 8 a.m. March 11. Entries will be accepted after that on a space-available basis only and will require a late fee. No applications will be accepted after 8 a.m. on March 18.
A workshop for parade applicants will be held from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Feb. 6 at the Petaluma Visitors Center. The workshop will cover entry design and safety. The cost is $5.
