Police: Report of kidnapping in Oakland was hoax

OAKLAND — Authorities have canceled an Amber Alert after determining that a report of a toddler abduction in Oakland was a hoax.
An Amber Alert was issued early Friday morning after a woman apparently told police that 56-year-old Kim Tolefree attacked her, rammed her vehicle and made off with her 1-year-old daughter.
Police say Tolefree later surrendered and denied having a child with the woman.
Investigators determined that no kidnapping had taken place.
