Caltrans to begin removing trees at Highway 101 intersection in Petaluma

<p>Caltrans will begin removing trees along Highway 101 and Lakeville Highway on Saturday to clear the way for a sound wall and interchange improvements.</p><p>The work, which will be done at night and take two weeks, is part of the Highway 101 widening project that will add additional lanes through the Novato Narrows.</p><p>It will require the closing of the northbound on-ramp at Lakeville Highway from 7 p.m. to midnight each night.</p><p>One northbound lane of Highway 101 also will be closed from 6:30 p.m. to midnight on weekends and from 8 p.m. to midnight on weeknights.</p>
