A contingent of Kenilworth Junior High School students were at AT&T Park in San Francisco last week to pick up a check that will allow the school to purchase a new Tricaster for the video production class that will help students produce their own videos for the school.
The money was from a Step Up to the Plate for Education grant from radio station KNBR funded by Wells Fargo Bank. Grants were presented by San Francisco Giants shortstop Brandon Crawford and Mike Bileci, president of Wells Fargo's San Francisco Bay Region.
Twenty Bay Area schools received grants totaling $75,000 to support athletics, arts and community-based programs.
Kenilworth students had their picture taken with Crawford.
