Reynolds title leads Bantam wrestling efforts

Jack Reynolds highlighted Petaluma Junior High School efforts in the North Valley League wrestling championships, taking his second straight league title.

Reynolds won the 98-pound class with a 2-0 record that included two pins.

Petaluma finished fourth in the team competition with 83 points, with league dual-meet champion Windsor narrowly edging Lawrence Jones for the team title 109-107.

Competitors for Petaluma Junior High School were, by weight class:

Ryan Robinson finished fourth at 78 pounds with a 2-2 record and one pin.

Jake Williams was third at 93 pounds, finishing with a 2-1 record with a pin.

Joe O'Hagen culminated an outstanding first season with a first in the tournament's junior varsity competition, winning three matches at 98 pounds, two by pin.

Jack Pieffer placed fourth at 98 pounds with a 1-2 record, with his one win coming by pin.

Kyle Challe came in third at 105 pounds with a 3-1 record and two pins.

Christian Williams was second in the 105-pound class in junior varsity competition, with a 1-1 record with his win coming via a pin.

Clayton Austin also competed in the 105-pound JV class, finishing with a 1-2 record.

Dominic Ayers competed in the 112-pound class

Jordan Winslow was fourth at 119 pounds with 2-2 rcord.

Adam Andewiel was 1-2 at 126 pounds.

Jonathon Thompson took first among junior varsity wrestlers in the 126-pound weight class with first, second and third-round pins.

David Tarrigua had one win and two losses in the JV 126-pound division.

Curtis Gourhnour competed in the 126 JV class.

Trnton Plourde placed fourth at 132 pounds with one win and two losses.

Tru Overton took third at 138 pounds with three pins and a 3-1 record.

Jake Hart had a 2-2 record for fourth place at 145 pounds.

T.J. Lynch collected three pins and finished third with a 3-1 record at 155 pounds.

Robert Miller was third at 165 pounds with a 2-1 record and a pin.

Dominic Pinata placed fourth at 175 pounds with a 1-2 record.

James Scranton scored two wins, finished 2-2 and was third at 195 pounds.

Matt Wagner was third in the heavyweight class with a 2-1 record. Both wins were by pin.
