A motorcyclist was hospitalized with life-threatening injuries after colliding with a car Saturday night on Hoen Avenue in Santa Rosa, police said.
Further details about the victim, who was taken by ambulance to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital, were not immediately available.
A motorcycle with an orange tail light blinking lay in the middle of Hoen Avenue at the intersection with Boston Court.
An onlooker said the car had exited Boston Court and the motorcyclist, driving on Hoen Avenue, had crashed into it.
“It's way too preliminary to tell any kind of fault,” Santa Rosa Police Sgt. Brad Conners said at the scene, where patrol officers had closed off a long stretch of Hoen Avenue.
The accident took place about 7:50 p.m.
Two people in the car that was involved in the crash had yet to be interviewed. Conners said that there was no indication yet that drugs or alcohol had played a role.
