A 32-year-old Petaluma man was arrested early Saturday on suspicion of burglary after an officer found him inside a Kmart store in Petaluma.
Jason Michael Remel was arrested by Officer Mike Page shortly before 12:30 a.m. at the store on North McDowell Boulevard.
Page went there after a store alarm was activated, according to a press release. He noticed a man inside who appeared to be trying to hide.
Remel also was arrested on suspicion of committing a felony while out on bail for an earlier, unrelated case. He was booked into the Sonoma County Jail. Bail was set at $10,000.
