With headlights off, an Infiniti heading the wrong direction on Highway 12 early Sunday sideswiped an oncoming pickup and crashed, the CHP said.
Benito Rosendo Flores-Cervantes was arrested on suspicion of drunken driving and booked into the Sonoma County Jail, Officer Marcus Hawkins said.
The 2004 Infiniti G-35 was traveling west in the eastbound lanes of the highway near Stony Point Road at about 2:15 a.m., Hawkins said.
The Infiniti sideswiped a 1999 Toyota Tacoma driven by Filipe Gutierrez-Jimenez, 40, of Valley Ford, detaching the pickup's left front tire, Hawkins said.
The Infiniti then veered into the center divider, crashed into a guardrail and drove away with only three tires and rims, Hawkins said.
The Infiniti then crossed back into the eastbound traffic lanes, drove over the Joe Rodota Trail and collided with a sound wall on the south side of the highway, Hawkins said.
He posted bond on $5,000 bail and was released at 1:25 p.m., jail staff said.
