Three arrested on suspicion of DUI at Santa Rosa DUI checkpoints Saturday

Three people were arrested on suspicion of drunken driving Saturday during DUI checkpoints held in Santa Rosa, police said.
They were among 532 drivers who drove through checkpoints held at Stony Point Road at Stony Circle as well as College Avenue and Morgan Street, Santa Rosa Police Sgt. Mike Numainville said.
Out of 35 people whose license status was checked, officers arrested 13 people who had no licenses and five people whose licenses had been suspended, Numainville said.
Officers impounded five cars and issued three traffic citations.
Among those arrested:
John Ellis, 27, of Windsor, Jaime Pacheco, 34, of Windsor and Miguel Rivas, 25, of Santa Rosa, all on suspicion of driving under the influence, Numainville said.
Rivas was also arrested on suspicion of violating probation, as was a passenger in his vehicle, Rudy Cuevas, 21, of Windsor, police said.
During the checkpoint, Jemour Soules, 35, of Santa Rosa, was arrested on suspicion of possessing a controlled substance and violating a court order, Numainville said.
