Three young Santa Rosa men were stabbed, one seriously, at an out-of-control gang party late Saturday night, police said.

All three were “documented gang participants,” Sgt. John Cregan said.

A 20-year-old victim was the most seriously injured. He was in stable condition Sunday after undergoing surgery, Cregan said.

The other two victims, both 17-year-old boys, were wanted on arrest warrants, Cregan said, and were booked into juvenile hall after being treated for their wounds.

None of their names were released, the 17-year-olds’ because of their age and the adult for safety concerns, Cregan said.

Police said the incident began around 11:30 p.m., when dispatchers received calls about an out-of-control party in the 1200 block of Marble Avenue, southwest of Stony Point and Sebastopol Roads.

Cregan said it was a “large gang party.”

No suspects had been arrested as of Sunday afternoon.

“When we got there, everyone was being uncooperative,” Cregan said.

The occupants of the house had turned off the lights and one of the teen victims was hiding under a bed, he said.

“All three of them have long history with us,” he said. The teens are both on probation for prior convictions and the adult is facing trial on a felony gang charge this month, he said.

When police arrived, they found several people on scene but little information was forthcoming. There was a large amount of blood on the driveway, the front porch and inside the residence, Cregan said.

The youth found under the bed had been stabbed several times, Cregan said. After he was treated at a local hospital, he was booked into juvenile hall on outstanding arrest warrants.

While officers were investigating, two more reports of stabbing victims came in. Police believe they were also stabbed at the Marble Avenue party.

The other 17-year-old had been driven to the Kaiser Permanente emergency room with multiple stab wounds, Cregan said. As with the other young man, he was found to have been wanted on arrest warrants and he was also booked into juvenile hall.

Friends also apparently tried to drive the 20-year-old to a hospital, but stopped at a fast-food restaurant on Sebastopol Road, where medical personnel responded.

The department’s gang detectives were investigating the incident.
