The Wilmar Union Elementary School District, home to the historic Wilson Elementary School, is seeking to fill two vacancies on its board of education following the resignation of board members Amanda Overton and John Balistreri. One term is for 3.5 years and the other is for 1.5 years.
Applications for the open seats on the governing board will be available through Tuesday, June 18, at the district office, 3775 Bodega Ave.
Interested persons who live within the boundaries of the Wilmar Union Elementary School District and who are registered voters are invited to apply.
Candidates will be interviewed by the current governing board members at a regular open-session meeting scheduled for Tuesday, June 18 at 6 p.m.
Inquiries from qualified citizens can be made by calling District Superintendent Eric Hoppes at 765-4340.
