Easton Elite eliminated from Nationals

The Easton Elite’s run in the American Softball Association’s 18-under National Championship Tournament in Clearwater, Fla. ended with two losses in the double-elimination championship round.

After going 2-1 in pool play, the Elite, a team composed of girls from Petaluma and surrounding areas, lost to the Sneaky Cleats from Texas, 9-1, and the Tropical Wave from Florida, 13-2.

The Easton Elite was the first team from the Petaluma area to compete in the National Championships.
