Born and raised in Petaluma, Vivian H. Straub-Marty grew up on the family dairy — Beffa Dairy Ranch.
She died on Aug. 26, 2013 in Petaluma. She was 92.
Mrs. Straub-Marty married Alfred Straub, and moved back to the family ranch after his death in 1948. She remained at Beffa Dairy Ranch until her second marriage to Charles Marty in 1997.
In her spare time, she enjoyed baking, for which she was well-known. She also loved to play bingo.
She is survived by her children, Marlene Stewart of Petaluma; sister, Alice Lanzi; grandchildren; and great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her first husband, Charles J. Marty; second husband Alfred Straub; and sibling, Antone Beffa Jr.
Memorial services were held last week. Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church’s Interior Fund.
