Pair trapped after Highway 101 rollover crash in Petaluma

A crash occurred at around 11:30 Tuesday on Highway 101 just south of the Old Redwood Highway Interchange.

Two people were trapped in an overturned car Tuesday morning in a Highway 101 crash in northern Petaluma, according to the CHP.

Petaluma firefighters found the car on its side and a man and woman unable to get out.

Firefighters worked to free the victims. An ambulance also was called due to expected injuries.

The vehicle crashed in southbound lanes near the Petaluma Boulevard North overcrossing, according to initial reports.

Two lanes apparently were blocked from the crash.
