A series of crashes plagued the roads on and around Highway 37 in Petaluma on Friday night.

Around 5 p.m. a three-vehicle crash occurred and one vehicle careened into a ditch near the intersection of Lakeville Highway and Route 37. No one was injured, but both lanes of Lakeville Highway were blocked for a half hour, and then one-way traffic was in effect for an hour.

"Not too much of an issue, except that Lakeville is kind of busy at that time of day with people getting to Sears Point," CHP Officer Ralph Caggiano said.

Then, at 7:37 p.m., a silver Dodge pickup, red Honda and white Pontiac crashed on Highway 37 east of Sears Point. Two victims were taken to hospitals with minor injuries.

That accident was cleared around 8:45 p.m., just minutes before a four-vehicle accident was reported on Highway 37 near Lakeville Highway. No one was injured in that crash.

"It's a little strange to have that many," Caggiano said. "Looking at the bridge cam's, I don't see any fog ... It's just one of those nights I guess, Friday the 13th."
