Traffic on Lakeville Highway was backed up for miles Friday after a five-vehicle collision blocked both directions of traffic near Highway 37, CHP officials said.
Officers funneled one-way traffic onto the shoulder near the site of a travel trailer that was demolished in the collision, sending debris across the roadway, Officer Jon Sloat said.
Initial reports indicated the 11 a.m. crash involved a big rig, Toyota SUV, Dodge pickup and a tan SUV.
No injuries were reported in the crash.
The road was expected to be reduced to one-way traffic until at least 1:30 p.m., officials said
Traffic was at a standstill for miles, with people getting out of their vehicles and standing along the road, although CHP officers were asking motorists to stay in their cars.
