Both the Gauchos and Vikings go into the game with 6-7 North Bay League records. The winner lands the fourth and final spot in the NBL’s post-season tournament. The season ends for the loser.

Montgomery is 13-12 overall, while Casa Grande is 14-11. Casa Grande won an earlier meeting between the two, 45-38.

Tuesday, Casa Grande came the closest anyone in the NBL has come all season to knocking off league unbeaten Santa Rosa, playing the Panthers into overtime before losing, 64-57.

Behind the inspired play of Angela Llaverias, the Gauchos played Santa Rosa even through regulation, 48-48.

Santa Rosa outscored Casa, 16-9, in overtime to record its 11th straight league win.

Llaverias had a season-high 20 points to lead the Gauchos, with Brooke Santander adding 11 and Megan Burke nine. Morgan Bertsch led Santa Rosa with 23 with Emily Codding adding 16.
